I don't have any crossbars for my 2011 QX56.
I'm thinking this winter I want to use the Yakima FatCat6 top of car ski rack, which requires crossbars.
I could either go the OEM route, which look nice and are fairly aero-dynamic. But I've also heard they don't support a lot of weight, which may not be a big deal given I'm only putting skis up there.
Or I could go an after-market crossbar, which doesn't look quite as nice but might be a bit stronger and maybe less expensive.
Any thoughts on this and if I don't go OEM, which crossbar should I get? I'm thinking I would probably just get a set of Yakima crossbars at the time I buy the ski rack.
