My CD/DVD radio assy has failed. I get a "disc read error" message. Dealer says it needs replacement. The private seller I bought the vehicle from is going to find a used head unit. According to the dealer you have to use a "Consult" to pull data from the old one and write it to the replacement. Is the "Consult" a dealer only tool or can they be purchased by a do-it-yourselfer like me.
