2010 QX56 engine noise

Hi,

I have noticed a mild rubbing noise during cold starts and it only happens randomly and when idling. When it happens, it will last for about couple minutes or less and goes away as the engine warms up. The engines sound fine but it just that little rubbing/vibration feel I get inside the vehicle. Also, it has 62K miles.

Has anyone had this issue before? Could it be a timing chain or idler pulley issue?

could be idler pulley, could be manifolds.

Okay, thank you. I guess will have take it to the dealer and probably going to be hard to explain to them since this only happens when the engine is cold and only at certain times.

if its the manifolds, have them keep it overnight and the next morn they can crank it up and hear the sound.

OR take a video and put the mic where you hear the sound.

im serious, but if you have access to a stethoscope, this can REALLY help you narrow it down (nissan techs use something similar).
