[2010] Converting to push button start?

I have a 2010 and would like to convert the ignition to a push button start. I see that there are several after market products out there, but would prefer Infiniti parts. Is it possible and, if so, how much would a dealer charge to do this? Thanks.

after market is better in my opinion. push button starts are not too difficult but one must pay attention to wiring.

a infiniti/nissan dealer will not do this for you. much too much liability involved.

the 2011+ electronics and can bus system have different firmware and protocols over prior 2010 and earlier models.

that said, nothing is impossible and with enough money thrown at it you can perhaps get a working solution with nissan parts.

however, going aftermarket will be best as its cheaper and ties into less electronic parts and sensors.

again my opinion. i am not a master tech for nissan.

Thanks, that makes sense and perhaps explains why I have not been able to get an answer from the dealer.

I think I'll pass on that idea.
