How's It going everyone. I just purchased a 2007 QX56 2wd with 114,500miles as a secondary car for my growing family. I noticed that when we hit uneven ground, bumps, small potholes at higher speed (60+) the rear end gets a little squirmy and floaty feeling. It can get a little bad but only affects the vehicle on uneven ground at the higher speeds. Yesterday I jacked the vehicle up and took a look behind the wheel to see if I could see any defective bushings or parts. Everything looked good so I sprayed down the Air Bag Struts and lines to the compressor with soapy water but I did not find any visible leaks. A few things to note:
1) The vehicle has brand new aftermarket 18" wheels with new all season grabber tires installed from the Nissan dealer.
2) The vehicle goes straight when diving down the road. It does not pull to a particular side.
3) The ride height from even ground to body is about 35.5" plus or minus 0.5"
4) It is equipped with factory Air Ride Struts and Compressor
5) California Vehicle so frame and suspension parts look in good condition
Side Note: I had something very similar happen to my wife Cadillac CTS a few years back and once we swapped the rear control arms and got an alignment, the issues went away. could this also be the cause of my issues now?
Shops get expensive and I know some of you may have some experience that can help me out.
Thank You!
