1997 I30 Noise

New here, I have a 1997 I30T which I love. It has been the best car I have ever owned.

I have 140K on the original shocks/struts ( not sure what the car has) and I am hearing a little creaking noise that at first I though was a loose exhaust pipe or something else under the car.

Now I'm thinking it might be a creaky shock/strut.

What does it run to replace the shocks/struts all around ?

I was thinking of getting the parts and having a mechanic I know do it as opposed to Firestone, Goodyear, etc.

Any advice is appreciated,

Noise

My 96 was making same noise, thinking it was the struts I changed them myself to find out it was the drivers cv short drive shaft, so I installed a new one at the same time rides like a new car and no more noise.
