cruise control

On a 2001 I30 I had the brake light switch replaced out-of-state (so i can't go back). After the repair my cruise control stopped working. The indicator light comes on but it doesn't "set." I'm thinking (hoping) that the mechanic just missed some connection but don't know where to look...

So, I am new to the forum and have owned a 2004 G35 for a few years and recently replaced replaced the engine. The cruise control will no longer engage. It will turn on but not set. There are no codes showing, no light codes, nothing. The car runs fine and no fuses are blown. I have tried...
