Battery dead today

what's the warranty on these batteries.. are they 5 year or longer (are they prorated, or flat out free replacement??)
 
What kind of Battery did u get.. and how much was it??

Apparently the stock battery is 4yrs/60miles warranty.. which means I qualify for Nada on prorate.

Why do they even add mileage to a freckn battery... mileage has $hit to do with how long a battery last. If one drives all hwy vs city driver, i guarantee the hwy driving is a lot easier on a car's wear/tear.

What are the specs that are needed for a replacement battery... Stealership wants $140 for 6yr/72mile battery.

They swapped mine out in Jan because after they changed the oil and washed it the battery died in the pick line when the service advisor went to start it and move it up for me.

Mine has the infiniti logo on it and it says 84 month and 2yr free replacement...

Now I think it's going bad again....or I have a draw somewhere....i noticed it turning over kind of slow the other day and I hooked my battery charger up to it and it was at 12.5v and the charger said it was 83% charged...

When I stop getting free ones I'm going get either the strongest Interstate or Die Hard I can find that will fit.

I swear you can leave the door open more than 5 mins on this damn truck without fear of the battery draining...

i got a die hard platinum agp which is a re-badged Odyssey battery. top of the line. its shorter than stock and the same length. sat right in the tray.

Is that battery AGM? I think the last die hard platinum battery I got was...hmmm
 
Did you pay $250, for the Die Hard??!!! That seems awfully pricy.

I'll pay that if it will last....but the one I saw on the Sears website was only 169.99....3yr free replacement and it's AGM....i saw they had another one in a different group size that was 250 and had a 4 year free replacement.

$250.00. Odyssey batteries are the best of the best right now. as mentioned, the optima batteries were sold off and the quality has dropped.
 
My concern with the Odyssey Battery is that I don't have a dealer near by so the Die Hard or Interstate battery would be my best bet.

Gotcha! I think that will be my next battery when I stop getting free ones....lol

They are going to do a draw test while I have my truck in for the catalytic converter to see why the batteries aren't lasting....

Just had mine replaced on Monday for the 2nd time since I purchased my 2011 new. 1st time was about a year ago when it was in for another unrelated service, they reported the battery was testing low so it was replaced under warranty. The past few weeks, I've noticed it took a little longer to start and on Sunday, I had to jump it to head to church. I figured it would charge enough to be fine, but was stranded at church for awhile. Took 3 other vehicles before I could jump it (lucky a few family members were all at church).

So on my 3rd battery since getting the QX in Feb. 2011....all my other vehicles average 5 years or longer before needing to replace the battery. Of course my warranty will be up in a couple months, hope this won't be a trend.
 
I've had mine changed 3 times in the last year and a half...for a total of....hell...ive lost count but as long as they are free they can keep changing them...

Well, that was quick. Had trouble this past Sunday for rough start, ses light, hesitation, and smoke coming out the exhaust. Brought it in and they couldn't get to it for a day and a half, only to be unable to duplicate the problem. But they found a code for fuel pump failure (3 months outside of warranty, of course). They also found the battery tested bad and replaced it...but at least the battery was still warranted.

So now it's been 4 batteries in 4 years. They claim they can't find any parasitic draw, so what is going on?
 
I was told the same thing about mine...I've averaged a battery per year...I guess it's all the damn electronics...especially tech pkg...

My M37 is the same way 3rd battery in 3 years...all my other cars average 4 years before replacement is needed.

if you have the factory nissan batteries, they wont last longer than 2 years. they dont last long at all. just look at the titan forums, armada forums on other sites and you will understand this.

in my opinion, the factory battery shipping with the new qx is under-serving the car. the engine needs a lot of torque, and if you are in cooler climates the energy is weaker due to the cold.

yep there are a lot of gadgets on this car but many of them shut down after 4-5 minutes, but you still have the antennas for the key fob (looks for your fob and turns on the lights, etc. when you approach) and associated equipment active, the BCM has to be alert to watch over these features, so there is a bit more drain on the battery than conventional cars, etc.

a slow, steady drain on the battery will cause a cell or two to reduce its output over time.
 
Marc... but I thought Infiniti was replacing those batteries with Interstate batteries... are these Interstate batteries badged with Nissan/Infiniti on them??

Seems ok, ( knock on wood). It will be four years old Labor day. I use a trickle charger in the winter. I'm more annoyed by the bugs committing suicide on the front. They all seem to be full of acid this spring. annoyed

Battery dead today, 2011 QX56 and this will be my second one. Last one was replaced about 20 months ago.

Pondering if I should go with the free warranty ones, or go with the one Marc suggested:

Die Hard Platinum Size 65
4 year replacement
950 CCA

Is this AGP or AGM? The picture Marc posted shows AGM.
