- Q30 – the first global Infiniti compact
- Q30 interior design echoes daring expression of exterior
- World premiere on September 15 at Frankfurt IAA
Hong Kong – 09.01.2015 – The world premiere of the first ever Infiniti Q30 premium active compact is scheduled at this year’s International Motor Show at Frankfurt.
The uniquely expressive exterior of the new Q30 creates a visual dynamism for the newest premium compact in the segment. In similar fashion, the interior of the Q30 takes the expressive forms and curves and turns them into an individuality that embraces the driver and passengers.
Infiniti interior designers have selected highest quality materials and processes to create a premium modern ambiance. One tactile detail is the Dinamica suede-like material from Italy. Used increasingly in the high-fashion industry, it now lines the roof and support pillars of the Q30 cabin.
Driver and passenger seating have been constructed for enhanced comfort and support with an elevated hip-point, aiding the in-control sense that combines well with Q30’s sharp dynamics on city streets or country roads.
“The Q30’s sculpted exterior and asymmetric cabin design are unmistakably Infiniti,” said Roland Krueger, president of Infiniti. “With the Q30, we are entering a new segment for Infiniti and broadening the offer to our customers. This vehicle is a vital part of our strategy to be a top tier global manufacturer of premium cars.”
The Infiniti Q30 will be officially unveiled at Infiniti’s press conference in Frankfurt at 5 a.m. ET (10:15 a.m. local Central European Time) on September 15.
- Daring, expressive design meets advanced ride and handling performance
- Category-breaking Q30 faithful to 2013 concept car
- World premiere for global media September 15th at Frankfurt Motor Show
Hong Kong – 07.21.2015 – The first ever Infiniti Q30 Premium Active Compact is ready for its world premiere at the International Frankfurt Motor Show in September this year.
Featuring Infiniti’s iconic design language, the all-new Q30 represents a category-breaking vehicle concept developed for customers seeking urban individuality. Its dynamic drive characteristics provide for Infiniti-typical confident and responsive performance as well as excellent ride and handling. Crafted trims and expressive interiors extend the striking design approach from the exterior into the passenger cabin.
The public premiere of the Q30 Active Compact comes exactly two years after its precursor, the Q30 Concept, was introduced at the 2013 Frankfurt show. The unmistakable approach of that winning concept has been fully maintained as Infiniti’s all-new Q30 compact vehicle is introduced to the market.
“Design is a key pillar of the Infiniti brand, and the new Q30 Active Compact perfectly embodies this approach,” said Infiniti president Roland Krueger. “The Q30 Active Compact delivers the distinctive design, the driving dynamics and the individuality that our customers expect of an Infiniti vehicle. With our first ever entry in the compact car segment, we continue the product offensive and provide additional options for our discerning customers.”
The Q30 Active Compact underwent final testing and development in Europe. It will be built in Sunderland in the UK, which then becomes the fourth country on three continents to build Infiniti vehicles.
Press days for the international motor show in Frankfurt this year are on September 15 and 16; public days are held September 17 to 27.
WEST SUSSEX, England – 06.23.2015 – The Q30, Infiniti’s all new active compact, will start to divulge itself at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed (FoS), leading up to a full reveal at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Visitors to the UK’s prestige motorsport garden party will be able to immerse themselves with an innovative 3D box situated on the Infiniti stand. The 4.8m2 box, housing a full size Q30 model, will light up selective aspects of the active compact car by using a series of LED lights to expose the distinctive and bold shoulder line of the car as well as the Infiniti design hallmarks of the double arch grille, crescent cut C pillar and the focused eye shaped headlight.
Exclusively for interactive users, by tweeting #glimpseQ30, the light show will continue to highlight more of the vehicle by sending a blue LED light across its silhouette.
On another wall of the box, a 3.7m x 2.1m special 3D screen will be showing the story of Infiniti’s design heritage and how the company has reached where it is today – about to launch its first-ever entry into the compact segment. The 3D visual effect can be experienced from as far away as 25m without the need to wear any special glasses.
The Infiniti Q30 innovative box is part of the “Infiniti Shapes the Future” display at Goodwood this year where a trio of award-winning concepts are being displayed together, QX30 and Q60 concepts and a full size Q80 model.
As an added attraction for all Formula one fans, Infiniti Red Bull Racing Team Principal Christian Horner will be holding a Q&A session with the very lively and popular Sky Sports F1™ Presenter “Crofty.” The interviews are scheduled to take place from the Infiniti stand on Saturday between 14:45 – 15:05 local time. The Infiniti stand is located at the top of the supercar paddock.
