Hi, Just bought a new 2011 QX over last Labor day weekend. Outstanding quality, really happy with it. Had to get the front tires rebalanced but other than that its been perfect. 20 inch wheels.
We have only had it on the interstate, and if you can keep it at 65 or below that thing is getting 23mpg. Granted we havn't drove it around town or here in the mountains of Virginia that much yet. but 6th and 7th gears are very good for cruising. Now if you mash down on the accelerator mileage does drop pretty quickly, but it puts a smile on your face
It has 407 miles, now, 14 when we picked it up. Have had the clear plastic protection put on the front of it, it has the illuminated kick plates, and I added the stainless steel rear bumper protection.
We wanted a heavy duty SUV, with a real frame. We missed our old Montero.
we got a two wheel drive to avoid the Transfer case maintenance and the extra weight.
Maybe someone knows the answers to a couple questions:
1. What is the rear axle ratio?
2. Do you know if you can download a new voice for the for the verbal responses? Maybe a British or Australian female voice? The standard female voice one in the QX sounds exactly like the voice at the DMV ! Arrrg ! It would be awesome if we could switch it up some.
Thanks !
