Brake problems from the beginning.

Main symptom, brake pulsation when applying brakes. Now, also makes an intermittent grinding noise at end of stopping. Many trips to the dealer. "We can't hear it", "Oh, did you try the updated brake pads?", etc. etc.

Went to an independent shop today, in spite of still being covered under extended warranty. They informed me that this is a design problem that has happened to many of this model, for which there is no fix.

Anyone else hear of this issue?

Thanks,
Rob

I just had to replace my rear calipers on my 08 fx with 77k miles. Driving on a highway the car started to shake and smell weird so I stopped and notice that the calipers were frozen up to the rotors. After $300 every thing was fixed at a local shop.

I had a similar stuck caliper problem on my 2006 FX 35. The design is riddled with these kinds of flaws. This is my first and likely my last Inifiniti. Will go back to Lexus.

Calipers were the problem

Frozen calipers were also the problem here. I replaced them twice (second time was warranty from the first.) I also had a G35x that experienced the same problem. It does appear inherent to the brand.
