Looks nice.

Can you or someone provide more details on how to do this? Or do you have more install pictures to share to make it easier for some of us?

Or can someone do a small writeup with pictures to go along? This is really nice and I am interested in buying a set.

If i can do it, you can do it with ease bro, because its that easy.

The LEDs are specific to LH/RH. That will be obvious when you get them.

There are 3 wires. One ground, one for lower lead output, one for FULL output.

You tap the wires into wherever you want but what primo did (and myself) was to tap into the trailer hitch wires.

You remove the hitch cover finisher. On the plug cover are the pinouts for the hitch wiring.

The way i connected up was using ground and parking light wire on the hitch to the ground and the highest led output wire on the LEDs because i wanted the leds to be , as primo did, as rear fogs, so they are highest output when the park lights are on.

Obviously you can set them up to light up full when you apply the brake , and have them off or even on the lower output when not braking—or anywhere in between.

There’s not really a need for install photos. There’s a screw that screwes the leds into the lower bumper cover.you use those screws for the led lamps when you attach them.

Again, you should have ZERO issues with the install because you are handy on the car, as ive seen in your posts across multiple nissan forums..

do you remeber which particular wire (color of wire) you tapped it into? Did you use the tap a wire? Thanks much.

I just saw yesterday (just happened to have the car on and the lights on) that one of them has some leds that are not coming on. I expect this but wanted to see if you experience the same thing primo...

Just bought a used 2016 QX80 last week. But been an Infiniti owner since 2006 first with my G35 and then a 2012 FX35.

Looking forward to installing the Ebay rear bumper LED reflectors next week. I have this set on my FX35 and Morimoto 5stop on my Armada. For all of them I never tapped into any factory lights.

For the Armada I ran a wire from the front to the rear and its connected to a 12v cigarette socket which has a button to turn it off / on.

For the FX35 I ran the wires from the LED reflectors through a gap between the bumper and chassis and into the trunk. There I connected the wires to a 12v cigarette socket plug and its powered by the 12v power outlet in the trunk. This outlet only works when the car is on.

I plan to follow the same setup as the FX35 on my QX80.

I have the same issue on my Fx35. The passenger side LED reflector has about 12 leds. 2 of them are ON but fallen off the board so they are dangling inside the reflector.

I got rid of those lights awhile back; same problem you experienced. I actually replaced them with an entirely, different set that has been problem free for some time now. I have a short video clip of the rear bumper sequential LEDs but not sure how to post/link the video. They look and function so much better too.

Did you get these to replace the old ones? https://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-LED-Rear...QAAOSwVopdAgg8

C’mon PRIMO!!! Can’t tease a brotha like that! you know I wanna see.

Yeah i guess I expect them to fail but i ordered a new set from a different fleabay vendor when I posted my initial post there a week or so ago and got them a couple days ago. To lazy to wire them up at the moment, but am interested in your setup.

You can post a link on google drive or Dropbox and create a link that people can use to view. And there’s always YouTube!..

@clint,

Welcome sir. Thanks for your post on your experience with these. The leds are not dangling in the housing of the ones I have , just one side has some that are out.

Looking to see what primo has done before I go and install these new ones...
