Default Dash display and Driver's seat

Just purchased a 2017 QX80 and have two questions that hopefully people can help with.

1) When the driver's seat is not all the way forward or all the way back it shifts a 1/4" of so in the track every time you accelerate or hit the brakes. It is not that much of a problem for me as I can have it adjusted all the way back. However I tried having it forward just a little to see if that was more comfortable and discovered the shifting back and forth issue. It can be very distracting. I know when my wife drives it she is going to have the seat adjusted forward and it will be an problem for her. Has anyone else had this issue? Is it an indication of a repairable problem? I had her sit in the seat and shift her weight back and forth while I looked underneath and I can actually see the seat part of the track shifting back and forth in the lower fixed part of the track a good 1/4" or so. Just wondering if this is a known situation.

2) The car I traded in I was able to have both the Range in miles for the gas left in the tank and the outside temperature on the dash display at the same time. This system seems to only let you have one or the other, while the total mileage seems to be shown all the time. Is there any way to change this? I went through the settings and owner's manual and I could not find anything. It would be nice if it would let you change out the total mileage to something else. Who needs to see the total mileage all the time? A minor annoyance I know, but wondering if there is an option I am missing.

1. not normal. track may be in need of adjustment.
