JX 35 Catalytic Converter

Hey all so my JX35 is 6 years and one month old. It is obviously the 2013 model. I have 81,200 miles on it.

Last monday the engine light came on. It is the catalytic converter P0420 code.

My mechanic is saying from NAPA the parts are 530/630 depending on which side. Also 170/240 to install depending on which side. the guy has never messed with me before and is always honest.

I can get a OEM fit part from autozone for half the price of the NAPA one...

Is this a common issue? Is there a recall i don't know about? is 82k about when i got to replace anyway? Is this the start of more issues? i am not averse to dumping the car and getting something else...but if i can fix it for the 1k-2k total (if i got to do both) and it will be fine, i am up for that too!
