Default Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/55/R22

These tires changed my life. The drive of the car has dramatically improved any you can actually feel the weight on the road now. I highly recommend these tires in this size.

Nice!!! But tell us more about any cons for going to that size because I do not want to blindly encourage people to get this size tire for this car.

What psi are you running with those tires?

And did you tell people that those tires are rubbing? I have the same size and mine was rubbing and I had to pull back and zip tie my fenders to stop the rubbing of the tires. Many people would not want to deal with this disadvantage.

I am running Yokohama Geolandar G003 285/55/22. I have 40psi on all 4 tires. They are pure mud tires but definitely handle like all terrain. I am still to go try them out offroading someday.

Advantages of 285/55/22
You gain 1 inch lift

Disadvantages of 285/55/22
Gas mileage drops
Car does not stop as fast nor accelerates as fast because these tires are huge and heavy.

Preach it! I have over 5k miles on my Nitto’s and if feels like they are getting better with age. Drive is firm and responsive, gas mileage is a little worse but I didn’t buy this car for good gas mileage. Ridge Grappler’s sidewall is the most aggressive on the market, finally gives me that edge with other stock Infiniti’s when I pull up next to them! Some might not like the stiffness of these but I do.

I am sorry to hear you had rub issues... I have had these for 6 months and no rub. I did hit some snow and had issues with the passenger side lower air valence, but that was due to snow and not the tires. The driver side is in perfect condition and the passenger side has been fine ever since I fixed the smashed valence from the extra deep snow I plowed through all winter in my driveway.
