Default EX35 brake caliper bleed

I did a brake job for a friend 3 years ago, and i did not do a good job lubing the pins on the calipers and 3 of 4 are frozen.

Much cheaper buying the centric complete units.

My question is, when I replace the deal, is bleeding the rear calipers the normal procedure?

I have read that some cars with antilock brakes need to be cycled to bleed the calipers correctly but that sounds a bit strange to me
