I've heard that infiniti g20 91-93 was designed for a turbo which never was put in. That's is why they last so long. Is this true.

I would think that the newist model would be the best. Better reliability, easier to find parts, less wear and tear. If an engine was designed to carry more power but never given that power, it would certainly make the components stronger.

I have one with about 96,000 on it now. Never had any problems other than routine maintenance. I do maintain it "by the book". Still tight and clean.

Liked the 93 P10, and really like the 99 P11. Currently have 112K on my 99 P11. Bought both used.... the 99 hasn't been maintained as well as I would like.... but the previous owner appeared to change oil at 3K-4K intervals. It appears that she replaced the starter at 105K. I've seen some other posts that may indicate that replacing a starter is fairly common.

As far as stock engine performance goes, you would probably want to go with a P10 model. Although the P11 was built with a slightly stronger engine (5 more hp than P10), the P11 was also built bigger than the P10, adding almost 500 lbs to the total weight. However, the P11 model is very well known for it's incredible suspension and handling and is also a lot easier to modify. I've rarely had as much fun as I do when I hug a tight corner going at least 35-40mph in a P11. So, seeming how the P10 would probably have a slight advantage (VERY slight) for its 0-60, the P11 does out perform it and, if you have a bit of money saved off to the side, you could make the P11 quite the nice tuner.

Oh, and an additional note, the P11 has a much more desirable interior, especially if you get the Bose sound system (I can't remember if that's stock or not). Very nice car
