View Full Version : 05 FX front driver side torn leather

I've noticed with a lot of people that this particular car has a problem with the leather in the most random place: on the side of the seat where the door is. I noticed two small torn areas in the leather that actually look like cuts. Over time they have gotten bigger and bigger. I know of 3 people with this car (yes personally) that have this particular problem.

What point am I making???

I want to go to a dealer with the people that I know to show them these torn areas.

What's my problem???

2 out of 3 ppl I mentioned above live in San Diego, California and the other lives in my city, Chicago, Illinois.

Now what do I want from this forum??

Does anyone else have this problem? If so, where do you live? If you live in Chicago also, are you willing to meet with me so we can go to the dealer together and have the service guy snap some photos to send them to infiniti's consumer relations (consumer affairs??) department and try to get them to recall or put in an extended warranty (like they did for our dashboard) for this problem??

I have a problem with the driver seat leather. It's torn on the side. I have been on other forums but nobody else has any other answer.

I am living in Chicago and I know of 3 people with this same problem. 2 of these people are in san diego (where I am from) and the other is here. My goal is to take my car to infiniti, have them take a look at the leather and send it to consumer relations so they can extend the warrantee on our model and have that panel fixed. Does anyone else have this problem??? Help me out

yeah mine is BAD and they say that it's normal thing... i dunno.

They will not do anything about a seat leather. The dash issue was something the consumer would not have direct contact with and they did it as a goodwill service.
