View Full Version : I've got an Infiniti QX4; a 4wd. Will the car accelerate better in 2wd mode sana M 05-08-2008, 08:24 AM of 4wd mode ? from the starting, what if i keep it in 4wd mode; will it accelerate better ? or 2wd mode is better www.jaydynvs 05-08-2008, 08:53 AM 2wd! This is why there aren't 4wd packages on sports cars! 4wd is for rough terrain, deep mud, gettting "unstuck" and other situations! DO NOT TRY TO ACCELERATE QUICKLY IN 4wd YOU CAN MESS UP YOUR VEHICLE! Also never ride around town in 4wd it isn't by any means made for better handling or cruising around town and definitely not for fast speeds! hellycool 05-08-2008, 10:54 AM As it's a rear wheel drive it will/theoretically should accellerate faster in two wheel drive mode. VikingQX4 10-15-2009, 11:09 PM Won't hurt if it's in Auto Mode. Certainly better if it's wet out...too bad we don't have enough power to spin the wheels in these things!
