Last summer my work truck gave out on me and I had to start use my 1998 qx4 to haul the concrete around. Now that I have my work tuck up and running and after cleaning my baby back up.lol I've notice when I get up to speeds around 35 or high and let off the gas,the rear end sways a little and it also sways a little when I exhilarate around that speed or higher. So I changed the shocks in the rear that helped a little but the swaying remains. Is there anybody out the that knows what I'm describing and can help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It's a 1998 qx4,I brought it new in 1999,it was my first and only new truck.I've always taken good care of it,except for putting all those loads of concrete in it.But even then I made sure to cover everything up and now you couldn't tell that I even hauled anything in it.It has never gave me any real problems and it still has less then a 100,000 miles on it.This truck has personal value for me and for me to mess it up like this is really eating at me.I'm pretty good with tools if you tell me what's wrong with it,I'm sure I can fix it.

It's the lower control arm bushings...

in the rear of the vehicle you have control arms that support your rear end. The bushings are worn and need to be replaced. You are better off changing the entire arm instead of the bushing itself. Now remember there's four control arms, two upper and two lower. Most of the time is the lowers but if you want to be safe and if you can afford it, changed them all. I've done the bushings before on three vehicle(I use to be a mechanic) but never again. I doing a set for my brother in his 99 pathfinder (same set up) this weekend and I went with the arms. It's less work...
