to trade in my 03 G35 coupe w/ 60k miles for an 04 Mazda RX8 w/ 30k miles? Pretty much even trade. My Infiniti was hit while parked and hasn't been right since, control arm replaced twice, power window not functioning correctly. These have been getting fixed, but it's been in the shop 3 times this year. I'm just looking for honest opinions because I'm skeptical about the rotary engine and overall quality of the RX8. Overall, great looking car/color/leather. Let me know.

Without running the numbers, I'm pretty sure you're coming out ahead value-wise, especially since you're car has been wrecked ( I hope you're honest and tell the person you're trading with).

RX-8s are good cars and good quality, but not for everyone. They get terrible gas mileage. And I mean TERRIBLE. Many people have reporting getting less than 10 MPG with hard driving (and who's not going to drive this car hard, really?). The car drinks oil, and needs a quart or so between oil changes. The engine can actually flood, something no car has done since the extinction of the carburated engine. They are quick and fun to drive, but decidedly slower than any sports car in their price range (including your G35).

I don't mean to totally turn you off. Many people love RX-8s. They are a true enthusiast's car. Just know what you're getting into.
