Hi guys, I am new here and hope to find someone can answer my questions! I have a 04 FX35 AWD with 66k miles. Recently I notice that the car's transmission is not shifting smoothly: from 1 to 2 to 3, it seems there is a bit of delay there, but from 3 to 4 to 5 it is very smooth. In rush hours, when I am doing the stop and go, the 1 to 2, 2 to 1 shift is quite rough, as I can feel it from the pedals I step on. Has anybody have similar experience before and how do you fix it? I just done the drain and fill service on it with the Nissan fluid, and it doesn't seem to help.

i dont know your problem. but if i was you. id flush the tranny fluid for now. then just change the fluid every 10k miles. USE OEM TRANNY FLUID. transmissions are very picky dont go cheap with the fluid. my friend whose a professional mechanic siad that if ur tranny has small problems. it can be fixed but will cost alot. if ur on a budget just maintain ur tranny and change fluid 10k or 1nce a year. it will slowly get better. and when u change it. ask the mechanic are there metal peices falling out. if there is then u got a problem

Transmission Lag: in the 35 to 40MPH range stepping on the gas is like stepping on a sponge. Further depression shifts to a noisy passing gear type gear. Not exceptable for such a $$ automobile. Have complained to the dealer and was told to live with it.
There is not much they can do. 2010 FX35 with 3500 miles
Not a valid answer.
