I tried to start my car this morning and it tried to catch and then a spinning (whurring) sound. The Battery and Alternator are less than 3 months old. What do you think the problem is.

Sounds like a bad starter solenoid not fully kicking out the starter drive causing the whirring sound.

It sounds like the Bendix is not engaging the starter into the flywheel.

You should have it checked out before it becomes a major problem.

It is much cheaper to replace the starter than to end up replacing both the starter and the flywheel.
