On most cars, there is one front and center, right where the engine and transmission join. There usually one on the engine side, one on the transmission side, and there is usually a torque bar on the back (firewall side). Basically, there are three mounts total, but only one is a true "transmission mount". greasejunkey 08-28-2011, 11:41 PM if its a rear wheel drive vehicle, then it should have about 4 bolts, and 4 nuts to take off, at least that's my experience with trannies. its a pain, but you have to take the drive shaft and cross member off, then undo the four bolts, then using a swivel extension and a deep socket, undo the first two nuts on the splatter shield, then undo the second pair of nuts under that, mind you those will be a fucking pain in the ass to get at, but it will come free, just don't be under it when it does. |
