The accelerator on my G35 isn't as smooth as other G35's I've driven. When starting from a stop I give it gas and it doesn't really move until it hits a certain spot and then it takes off like a bat out of hell. I know this is a powerful car but i have driven a couple of other G35s that didn't do this. Would it be covered under the infiniti warranty if i took it in?

Sticky throtle plate on the manifold mate, clean it up and you should be all Go.

Well, Chris - seems your not the only one with this type of problem with the throttle on a BRAND NEW G. I've already had mine looked at by the dealer and got the typical response - "cannot re-create the problem". If they tried to drive smoothly instead of mashing the throttle off the line the techs might have a better chance of "re-creating the problem".
In addition (and possibly related), I just noticed that when going down a gradual hill, transitioning from throttle closed to throttle open (and back) is very rough. Almost feels like a standard trany (it's not) with a lot of play in the gears. It's also very noticeable when cruise control is on.
Back to the first problem, the service writer told me to call the Infiniti Consumer Hotline "to get the latest info on this type of problem". Come to find out, the Infiniti Consumer Hotline has NO reference to ANY technical issues - essentially making it a useless sounding board. Couple more visits to the dealer on this and we'll see where the Lemon Law might play in to this.
