It's a much smoother vehicle than the one it replaces (http://www.autoblog.com/2009/09/04/nissan-reportedly-readying-next-quest-minivan-and-infiniti-qx56/), ditching the arcs for hard angles. It also sheds finicky styling cues like the current vehicle's slightly contorted C-pillar arrangement, going for an uninterrupted window line rimmed by a chrome strip. Head on, though, it's grille-tastic.

Body elements like flaring arches are more integrated, and the chrome strip running down the side has been omitted. The rear is an FX-ified version of the new Nissan Patrol (http://www.gulf4cars.com/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=32947&stc=1&d=1229458838), and the package rides on anice set of Infiniti's trademark wheels. We aren't sure if it will turn the QX56's sales numbers around, but stranger things have happened... Hat tip to Drew

I like!

Infiniti has a unique taste in replicating nature (animals) in their car design--the FX reminds you of a cheetah/shark and this new 2011 reminds you of a rhino. :D

But it's about time the QX gets a refreshment.

I'm not sure I'm a big fan of the new look. I know most people don't prefer the style of the current QX56, but I actually think it's one of the best looking full size SUV's out there. The the curvey swirly designs are meant for coupes and sedans. A truck should be boxy and square. Just my 2 cents. The new style just don't do it for me.
