I have a 1994 Infiniti G20 (P10) with 2.0 litre inline-4 engine with 4-speed automatic trans. I would like to turbo charge it but have some questions first. I know before I can do anything I must swap the 4-speed trans for the 5-speed manual.
-Can I change just the gear box or is a whole trans overhaul required?

-Would it be easier to just replace to whole engine with an engine yanked from the200SX, or is it cheaper to re-enforce the engine I already have.

Yes I know the car is front-wheel drive and do not wish to be nagged about it. I have my reasons for souping up a front wheel drive car.
