...Infiniti M45 (03-05), or Benz S500 (01-03)? I'm looking to buy a new car. I'm not sure what to get. Right now I have an 05 Pontiac Grand Prix and I'm looking to get into something foreign this time around. Thanx in advance!

The best thing to do is to go and test drive all the vehicles and see which one you like. All these are different beasts. here's my general rule of thumb:

Infiniti - for reliability, high performance, low price, low maintenance.

BMW - High Performance, high Tech, low reliability, high cost of maintenance, and high price tag.

Mercedes - High luxury, high Tech, low reliability, Extremely high cost of maintenance, and high price tag.

These are my thoughts. I've owned a BMW before and it's not bad, but gotta be willing to pay for high maintenance.

I agree drive them all. I did and liked the BMW until I drove a M45....The car looks great and the interior is much very nice...I went with M45 and love it.

Like the guy above I have owned a 328i BMW...and an I35 a buddy works at a Benz Dealer service dept....he sees more of them on the back of a tow truck than the Totota side of there business...the beemer was fun but big $$$ to service...all i did to the I35 was change the oil....

Don not buy the 02-05 745 BMW, they have an extensive track record of COSTLY repairs. My mechanic, who is certified on BMW and Mercedes told me to stay away from that model in those years.

If you can afford to buy an extended warranty on the Benz then I would go that way, but there is no doubt that car will nickel-dime you to death

Benz S500 is a luxury sedan which you mayn't feel like denying. But the mileages are worse. So i feel purchasing an Infinity won't make you repent in the future. Both Economical and has better mileage.
